The town of Hostalric contains one of the most important monumental legacies of the Catalan medieval period and is headed by the imposing modern castle located in the old part of the town.
The medieval enclosure is made up of corners full of history and uniqueness. The wall is up to 600 meters long and ten well-preserved towers can be found along its route.
The old medieval castle of the Viscounts of Cabrera is located on an old volcano and maintained control over the Camí Ral, halfway between Girona and Barcelona. From the seventeenth century began to transform to adapt to new times and new defense strategies of the modern era.
