Molí De Les Pipes Bridge

DISCOVER THE VISCOUNTY

The Viscountcy of Cabrera was a territory with a dynamic commercial economy, centred on its markets, which formed its main areas of influence. It was structured around a network of roads linking villages and urban centres, while also benefiting from good connections to maritime trade routes.

The bridge of the Molí de les Pipes is related to the viscountcy road network, for there were many routes linking the Arbúcies valley with Santa Maria de Lliors, Sant Marçal del Montseny and Coll de Revell towards Osona. The present bridge, possibly of Romanesque origin and with one single span, displays a semicircular arch on the underside of which the traces of the formwork used to construct the arch can still be seen.
