The temple is of Romanesque origin and is documented in 1190, but the current building dates from the 16th and 17th centuries, while the bell tower dates from the 18th century. On 3 May 1640, the soldiers of the Terç de Moles burned and destroyed the church during the revolt that marked the beginning of the Guerra dels Segadors. The current building was constructed during the second half of the 17th century.
It is a building with a Latin cross plan. The façade features a large circular window and a gallery of brick arches, which are now blocked up. The bell tower, attached to the south façade, preserves its original structure and is built of granite ashlar.
